Run by the owners it has recently been tastefully renovated to retain much of the original character. Cosy and rambling with a friendly atmosphere, Monkgate Guest House was originally three cottages built in early 18th century. It is a grade II listed building just outside the ancient city walls of York on Monkgate, and is well situated for York Minster and the main city area so convenient for business or pleasure.
