Traditional B&B in York City Centre

Traditional B&B in York City Centre

Welcome to Monkgate Guest House, a traditional B&B in York city centre. We pride ourselves on providing value-for-money bed and breakfast accommodation in a city-centre location. Cosy and rambling with a friendly atmosphere, Monkgate Guest House was originally three cottages built in early 18th century.

Situated just a few minutes walk from all of York’s major attractions and destinations (including York Minster) Monkgate Guest House is perfect for those visiting York for business or pleasure. We like to think our traditional B&B provides a friendly country atmosphere in a city centre environment.

Family Friendly Accommodation

We very happy to announce we’ve been voted the ‘Best Family Friendly B&B Accommodation’ in York at the Little Viking Awards 3 years running! Our family room is perfect for 2 adults and 2 children.
